The standard practice in the UK is that you are allowed to drive for 12 months in the UK with an international driving licence before needing to take a UK driving test in order to continue driving. However, to lease a car you will still need to have a UK address and UK bank account and be able to pass the credit and affordability checks as part of the application process.
